Sixtus is a dynamic and analytical finance professional with extensive experience in credit and risk management across the microfinance and financial services sector in Nigeria.
Sixtus began his career as a Senior Back Officer at MicroCred Nigeria, Zaria Branch, from 2012 to 2014, where he managed savings accounts, data entry, and client data control. He progressed to Senior Internal Audit Officer at Baobab Group from 2014 to 2017, where he monitored the internal audit system and conducted regular internal audits.
He subsequently served as Head of Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance at Shalom Microfinance Bank Limited from 2017 to 2020, where he was responsible for mitigating and managing the bank’s risk appetite. He then joined Alert Microfinance Bank as Head of Credit and Risk Management from 2020 to 2026, where he co-ordinated and implemented the bank’s enterprise risk framework and established policies and procedures to strengthen institutional risk governance.
He was appointed Group Chief Risk Officer at Alert Group in December 2025, a role he currently holds.
